Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2025

Sequencer ("we", "our") is provided by Tribulnation. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and services.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: Email address and profile details you provide when signing up (via our auth provider).
  • Preferences: Theme (light/dark/system), language, and currency preference, stored in your browser (e.g. local storage or cookies).
  • Connection and portfolio data: When you connect exchange accounts using API keys, we store identifiers (e.g. platform and account ID) and use them to fetch and display your balances and positions. We store API keys and other sensitive credentials in encrypted form and do not keep them in plain text. We use them only as needed to provide the service.
  • API permissions: We currently request read-only API keys so we can display your portfolio without being able to trade or move your funds. For future features such as Execution (e.g. placing or cancelling orders on your behalf), we may request additional permissions. We will only do so when you explicitly enable those features, and we will clearly explain what each permission is used for. We will update this policy when new permissions are introduced.
  • Technical data: Logs and similar data from our hosting and auth provider (e.g. IP, device/browser) as needed for operation and security.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to: provide and improve the service (portfolio, earn comparison, routes); authenticate you and manage your account; remember your preferences; protect against abuse and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Third parties and sharing

We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting. Their processing is governed by their privacy policy and our instructions. We may share data only where required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell or rent your data.

4. Where we process data

Our servers and main processing of your data are located in Europe (European Union / European Economic Area). Your data is processed within the EU/EEA for our core services. If we use service providers that process data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission) to protect your data.

5. Data retention and your choices

We retain account and connection data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and request deletion of your data by contacting us. Logs and backups may be kept for a limited period for security and legal reasons. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser to remove stored preferences.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures (including HTTPS and secure storage) to protect your data. We store API keys and other sensitive credentials in encrypted form and do not store or transmit them in plain text. Exchange API access is read-only for current features; we do not execute trades or move your funds unless you enable a feature that explicitly requires it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these by contacting us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies or local storage for: session management, theme, language, and currency preferences. These are necessary for the service to function as intended. You can disable or clear them in your browser settings.

9. Children

Our service is not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected a child's data, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. For important changes, we may notify you by email or a notice on the site.

11. Contact

For privacy requests or questions, contact us via the channels indicated on the site (e.g. contact form or email).
