About renBTC

renBTC was the tokenized bitcoin of RenVM, minted against BTC held by the network's darknodes. Ren shut its bridge down after the collapse of Alameda Research, which funded it, so renBTC can no longer be minted or redeemed for bitcoin and the remaining supply is a stranded claim rather than a live peg.
