About DoubleZero

DoubleZero is a permissionless network of independently contributed fiber links and bandwidth, purpose-built for blockchains and other distributed systems. It gives validators and other latency-sensitive nodes direct, low-jitter routing that bypasses the congested public internet, improving block propagation and consensus performance. The 2Z token, issued on Solana, pays for access to the network's connectivity service and rewards the contributors that supply links and hardware; staking and governance mechanisms are planned for later phases of the protocol.
